Abstract: (4 Views) |
Physical and spiritual health are among the most sublime divine blessings, emphasized repeatedly in the Quran and the traditions of the Infallibles (AS). This article, using a library-based method and qualitative content analysis, examines the position of health care in Islamic sources. The findings indicate that Islam considers health not as an individual or secondary matter, but as a religious duty and a foundation for worship. The Quran, through verses that invite human beings to "consume pure sustenance," "avoid self-destruction," "save lives," and "not cast themselves into ruin," has outlined a comprehensive framework for health care. The narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), halal and haram foods, exercise, sleep and rest, and avoidance of harmful substances, depict the Islamic health system. Finally, practical solutions based on these teachings are presented for individual and social health care. |
