Abstract:
Introduction: Health culture emphasizes self-care and the priority of prevention over treatment, and a set of healthy and effective Background: Health culture emphasizes self-care and the priority of prevention over treatment, and a set of healthy and effective beliefs and behaviors. Women are the center of family health and an instructive model for a healthy lifestyle and its transmission to the next generation. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the role and status of women and their health in promoting health culture and the factors affecting their health in upstream documents and from the perspective of experts.
Methods: The present study was conducted using a qualitative method in two stages reviewing upstream documents and group discussion. First, the researchers reviewed upstream documents and existing evidence, and after extracting data, the materials were finalized in two group discussion sessions of the women's health scientific group (15 people) and three sessions of the health culture group (22 people).
Results: The findings showed that a holistic and comprehensive approach to women's health is important for 11 major reasons. Also, numerous individual (5 factors), family (13 factors) and social (16 factors) factors affect women's health. Also, the 18 documents reviewed show the importance and emphasis of women's health and the impact of women on the health culture of the family and society.
Conclusion:Considering the role of women, women's participation in decision-making and major planning of the country, as well as cooperation and coordination with other sectors, government and private organizations, should be considered.
