Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has faced the world a great challenge and affected different aspects of human life. Sexual health is one of these affected aspects. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between sexual health and the recent pandemic. Methods: This study is a narrative review article.Related articles published in English and Persian language, from December 2019 to May 2021, were reviewed. The keywords used for this search included: Persian keywords "Corona, COVID-19, sexual health, marital relationship, couple relationship" and English keywords "COVID-19, Corona, Sexuality, Sexual health, Relationship, Marital/couple relationship, Sexual dysfunction, Psychological aspects, fertility, safe sex". The search was performed in Iranian and international databases such as SID, Magiran, Pubmed, Scopus, Google Scholar. A total of 196 articles were reviewed and finally 45 articles related to the purpose of the study were selected. Results: In the clinical and epidemiological studies, the relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and sexual/reproductive health has been confirmed. Therefore, the recent condition (pandemic), can affect marital relationship, sexual relationship and reproductive health, directly and indirectly, through body and psyche. Conclusion: Considering the importance of sexual health and its significant effects on quality of life, therapists should pay clinical attention to evaluation and treatment of this area; It is also suggested to provide couples with appropriate educations related to this field.
