Background: Supply chain collaboration is critical to coping with disruptions. The importance of this issue in the medical tourism supply chain has been highlighted with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). So far, no research has been performed to investigate this issue in the medical tourism supply chain. Therefore, this research has been conducted with the aim of filling this research gap. Methods: The statistical population of the research is experts in the medical tourism industry. Judgmental and snowball sampling method is used and sample size are determined based on theoretical saturation equal to 26. In-depth interviews were conducted to collect data and Grounded theory was used to analyze them. Results: According to the research results, 111 concepts were identified, and classified into 26 categories and five main axes. Conclusion: In order to improve collaboration in the medical tourism supply chain, solutions such as proper management of human resources, improvement of financing methods, management of behavioral issues, management of hardware facilities, supply chain management, appropriate strategic planning and compensation system throughout the chain is recommended.
