Background: Empowerment training enables individuals to interact effectively with others, especially during childhood, which forms the foundation for success in later stages of life. Additionally, a mother's knowledge and awareness play a critical role in stimulating a child's development. The goal of this study is to examine the impact of child-centered empowerment on happiness and quality of life among mothers with 3 to 6-year-old children in Yazd city. Methods: This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-posttest design. The statistical population consisted of mothers with young children aged 3 to 6 years, enrolled in a preschool in Yazd during the 2023 academic year. Thirty participating mothers were conveniently sampled and divided into two groups of 15, intervention and control. The intervention group received empowerment training in eight 90-minute sessions, while the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were collected using the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and the Ware-Sherbourne Quality of Life Questionnaire, and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software. Results: There was a significant difference in the adjusted mean scores of happiness between the groups in the post-test phase (p=0.78). Similarly, there was a significant difference in the adjusted mean scores of quality of life between the groups in the post-test phase (p=0.64). Conclusion: The child-centered empowerment model improved the happiness and quality of life of participating mothers. This model is recommended for fostering effective communication between mother and child and for better managing children's growth and development.
