Background: Nowadays, people suffer from lack of complete health. Despite the World Health Organization's attention to this matter and assigning an independent definition to health and its dimensions, no comprehensive definition has been considered for this concept to date, so that a comprehensive and practical program can be presented to achieve the health of people in the society accordingly. Reviewing medical and Islamic texts and the works of thinkers, including the works of Dr. Isfahani shows that this issue has been addressed and a special place has been considered for spiritual health. Due to the importance of this issue, this study has endeavored to compare the concept of spiritual health in his works with what is mentioned in similar studies, and to discuss the strategies for achieving spiritual health and comprehensive health based on his works. Methods: The present descriptive-analytical research was conducted in a qualitative way and via searching the works of Dr. Esfahani and the theories of other thinkers as well as Islamic texts, to reach and present a comprehensive definition of spiritual health based on his works. Results: In Dr. Isfahani's authored works on health, he refers to the concept of spiritual health and addresses its independent and special place next to other elements of health. While emphasizing the importance of spiritual health, he believes it can be achieved through the practice of Islamic teachings. Conclusion: Based on the studies of Dr. Isfahani, while emphasizing the superiority of spiritual health over other elements of health, he introduces the teachings of Islam as a comprehensive guide to achieve this important goal.
