Investigating the Potential for Amending the Healthcare System in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Background: The Constitution considers health a universal right; having a healthy, productive and good quality of life, along with an acceptable life expectancy free from illness and disability; this issue is a public right that is the responsibility of governments. This is the precondition for the realization of sustainable development. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the potential for amending the health system in accord with the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Methods: This descriptive study were used content analysis. The research tool was Shanon Entropy, The content validity of this study was confirmed by 12 experts from the ministry of health education experts and 8 health education experts) and twelve main components and 58 subcomponents of health education and health promotion .
Results: The results of Shannon's entropy content analysis showed that from the review of all texts of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the component related to mental health with 23 cases had the highest frequency, and the lowest value related to environmental health, environmental health and disability with 0 frequency. And out of a total of 43 health components in the constitution, 1 is health, 4 is nutrition, 0 is environmental health, 0 is environmental health, 8 are family health, 1 is safety, 1 is health. There are cases of physical activity, 23 cases of mental health, 2 cases of prevention of high-risk behaviors, 1 case of control and prevention of diseases, 0 cases of disability, 2 cases of public health and school health. High-risk, 11 cases of disease control and prevention, 16 cases of disability, and 17 cases of public health and school health.
Conclusion: The findings from the frequency of the components show that the highest coefficient of importance among the health components in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran related to the components of mental health in total (0.03 + 0.13 + 0.21 + 0.13 +3 + 0.16-0.07 with a value of (0.72) and the lowest coefficient of importance to body health, environmental health, safety events, physical activity, prevention of high-risk behaviors, control and prevention of diseases and disabilities Total value was (0)
