Background: The aim of the research is to understand the phenomenological role of management and leadership in improving the physical health of students. Methods: Using the qualitative approach and the phenomenological method, the role of management and leadership in improving the physical health of students was investigated. The research community included school principals and physical education experts who were selected as the sample of the study by means of targeted sampling of the available type and based on the rule of theoretical saturation. The research data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed with the Claysey method. Results: Based on the participants' experiences, education and awareness, creating a healthy educational environment, encouragement and support, effective communication and promotion of health culture in improving the physical health of students were identified as the main roles of management and leadership in improving the physical health of students. Conclusion: The results of this research show that promoting health and ensuring the health of people in society is one of the pillars of society's progress, and promoting health-related behaviors will lead to preserving people's performance and independence, increasing their quality of life, and reducing health care costs. ; Therefore, the physical, mental and social health of children and teenagers as the future builders of the country can guarantee the current and future health of the society. Therefore, paying attention to the health of this group is of special importance; Because the foundation of health behaviors is formed at this age, and with this work, a big step can be taken in preventing diseases in old age, which imposes a lot of costs on the society.
