Abstract:   (89 Views)
Background: The present study seeks to promote spiritual health by drawing on the philosophical framework of Lessons on Self-Knowledge (Doroos-e Ma’refat al-Nafs) in addressing one of the most pressing psychological challenges faced by housewives: loneliness.
Methods: This research is descriptive-analytical in nature. In identifying the psychological challenges faced by housewives, observational methods, in-depth interviews, and a narrative synthesis of existing research were employed. Based on a frequency analysis of the data, an intervention grounded in the philosophical principles of self-knowledge was designed and implemented in a group setting to enhance spiritual well-being. This method is organized in seven stages as follows: determining the goal, determining the number of sessions, preparing the audience to accept spiritual solutions by asking appropriate questions, grouping, selecting experts, conducting sessions with a philosophical-spiritual approach according to the principles of self-knowledge, presenting spiritual exercises, and evaluating.
Results: Loneliness emerged as the most significant psychological challenge for housewives. The implemented intervention, rooted in the teachings of Lessons on Self-Knowledge, proved to be an effective tool for promoting the spiritual and psychological health of participants.
Conclusion: The spiritual intervention addressed the challenge of loneliness cognitively by fostering deeper self-awareness and self-knowledge, encouraging non-judgmental attitudes, and strengthening rational and logical faculties. Motivationally, it increased the drive for self-perfection and boosted self-confidence. Behaviorally, it contributed to spiritual growth, a balanced integration of material and spiritual life, physical well-being, and a heightened sense of responsibility.
