Abstract

Background: Today, the consequences of sports injuries create many problems for health, athletes, coaches, clubs, families and the sports community, and impose direct and indirect costs on the society. The purpose of this study was phenomenological analysis (understanding of lived experiences) of elite athletes from the sports injuries consequences.
Methods: The research method was qualitative phenomenology. Participants included 30 elite athletes, who were purposefully selected from the injured athletes of national and club teams. The research tool was unstructured interviews. The process of completing interviews continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. Each interview lasted between 35 to 65 minutes. The seven-step Klaizi model was used for collecting and analyzing data.
Results: Analyzing the data revealed 9 main themes, and 74 concepts. Consequences of physical, family, psychological, social, economic, sports, cultural, lifestyle changes, and migration were the main axes (main themes) of findings of this study.
Conclusion: Due to harmful consequences of sports injuries, we suggest making necessary arrangements to increase safety in sports places and events, and also providing support in legal terms, finance, occupation and life and pension insurance of athletes.

Abstract

Background: Despite the importance of exercise in strengthening the immune system, students may not want to exercise in schools due to concerns about coronavirus. The health of the sports field has a positive effect on student participation in physical education lessons, therefore the purpose of this research was to identify health indicators in the holding of physical education lessons in schools in person during the COVID-19 epidemics.
Methods: The research method was qualitative type of thematic analysis. The study population were academic and executive experts related to the subject, who were selected purposefully. The research tool was an unstructured interview, and the process of conducting interviews continued until theoretical saturation was reached. To analyze the text of the interviews, the Clark and Braun (2006) approach of theme analysis method was used.
Results: Using theme analysis, 57 final codes were identified in 13 concepts and 4 categories (indicators related to personal health, indicators related to public health, indicators related to management issues, and indicators related to physical education class) were classified.
Conclusion: Providing health conditions for holding physical education classes in schools requires efforts of students, physical education teachers, health experts, school executive staff and trustee organizations in the field of observing and providing personal hygiene. Public health, sports field health, and the organization of physical education classes are based on the special conditions of the epidemic so that the possibility of viral spread of COVID-19 is minimized and students engage in sports activities with more assurance.

Abstract

Background: The introduction of health culture promotion in Ministry of Education is to know the components and elements and the nature of the education and training system and its culture, and this is achieved through the strategic management of health culture in education. In this manuscript, the role of education in health culture promotion is discussed.
Methods: This is a review study which was performed by searching keywords in national and international databases and summarizing the obtained contents.
Results: In the new approach to health, culture and health are two categories intertwined, and all cultural elements in education are tied to the health of students, schools and society. In this approach, the school as a small and influential society, affects the lifestyle and health literacy of the students, considering all the physical and social aspect. The process of managing and promoting health culture includes two main components of organizational culture and individual student behavior. These two components must be in systemic interaction. The individual behavior of the student should be based on the organizational culture of the school. Health promotion schools include a systemic and comprehensive approach that integrates all aspects of health in the educational environment. Their goal is to promote health culture among students considering physical, social and environmental factors, by improving knowledge and awareness.
Conclusion: The approach of health promoting schools shows a paradigm shift towards an integrated and system-based model that requires re-evaluation of the processes of planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programs of Education Ministry to effectively strengthen the health culture.

Abstract

Considering the significant increase in the elderly population in the country and the prediction of the continuation of this trend, the necessity of empowering the elderly to use assistive technologies as much as possible is felt more than ever. Surveys show a high rate of non-use of assistive technologies among the elderly. Meanwhile, assistive technologies can significantly enhance the quality of life for the elderly, maintain their independence, and reduce care costs. Therefore, this policy brief aims to provide practical solutions for empowering the elderly to promote the use of assistive technologies.
