Can Crises Such as COVID-19 Increase Ones Spirituality? A Look at the Verses of the Quran

Background: This study aimed to see whether crises such as COVID-19 lead one to seek spirituality.
Methods: This study used library and documentary methods to answer the aforementioned query.
Results: One of the important issues of all crises is health. When ones health is endangered (i.e. fear from death due to the Corona crisis) spiritual help is often sought and statistics show that inclination to pray and communicate with God increase considerably.
Conclusion: The documents (including the Quran) show that crises have been shown to increase spirituality and help cope with mental discomfort and stress in times of tragedy.
