Background: Spiritual health is a complex issue because of differences in one’s concept of spirituality, holistic view and world values; these matters need to be defined according to the specific views of each group. These beliefs involve theology, cosmology, anthropology and eschatology. Religion can provide prosperous guidance for the development of spiritual health. This paper seeks signs that lead to the development of Spiritual Health.
Methods: This paper was written via a library search (textual, software and digital resources) in a descriptive-analytic method. The position of man in the universe, the purpose of creation of mankind, the importance of spiritual health and the effects of belief in the perfection of the universe were sought for Signs that lead one to the development of spiritual health based on Quranic documents.
Results: Understanding perfection in the order of the universe, perceiving the privileged position of man in the hierarchy over other beings, and belief in the originality and survival of the soul results in understanding the essential purpose of creation, which is the perfection of man and the universe. Man cannot achieve the ultimate goal of creation (i.e. perfection of the soul) by relying on his own perception. Rather, the attainment of higher perfection requires the attainment of spiritual health through theology and education, revelations and following the divine prophets as role models.
Conclusion: In the perfection of the universe there are signs that lead one to attain spiritual health. Spiritual health will result in understanding the meaning of life, spiritual vitality, satisfaction with divine ordinances, no fear or anxiety of death, proper interaction with society .,nature, and ultimately eternal happiness. |
